Our Interactive audio-visual installation is an abstract exploration of human interaction through fluctuations of biometric data, social neuroscience, and hyper scanning through combination of neurotechnology, and psychophysiology to artistically conceptualize social interactions.
The utmost goal of our installation is to create a profound connection between technology and emotion within the context of human interaction.

WE TURN YOUR INTERACTIONS INTO ART
RESI INCLUDES AN ABSTRACT RENDERING OF REAL-TIME BIOMETRIC DATA COLLECTED VIA OUR CUSTOM WIRELESS WEARABLE SENSOR SUITS. FROM THERE, THE DATA IS SENT TO OUR AUDIOVISUAL SOFTWARE, WHICH CONTROLS PARAMETERS OF OUR AUDIOVISUAL, LIKE THE MOVEMENT AND COLOR OF THESE PARTICLE SYSTEMS.
MEANING-EMBEDDED DESIGN
RESI’S SENSOR SUIT IS COMPRISED OF THREE MAIN BIOMETRIC SENSORS, WHICH ALLOW US TO EXTRACT INFORMATION ABOUT THE PARTICIPANT’S PERIPHERAL NERVOUS SYSTEM STATE, COGNITIVE STATE, AND EMOTIONAL STATE. OUR DESIGN TEAM MADE CHOICES THAT WOULD REFLECT THE MEANING OF THE PARTICIPANT’S STATE INTO THE PARTICLE SYSTEMS WE USE TO ABSTRACT THE DATA, SUCH AS COLOR OF THE PARTICLES, SPEED OF THE MOVEMENT, AND DISTANCE BETWEEN PARTICLES. wE ALSO USER THE DATA IN REAL TIME TO DRIVE AN AUDIO EXPERIENCE, USING PARAMETERS LIKE PITCH AND TIMBRE TO CARRY THE MEANING AND THE OVERALL EXPEREINCE FURTHER. THE RESULTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES, AND WE HAVE FOUND THROUGH USER TESTING THAT IT CAN BE A PROFOUND EXPERIENCE FOR OUR PARTICIPANTS.

ONCE AUDIO AND VISUAL PROJETION TECH HAS BEEN PROPERLY INTEGRATED, THE PROJECION OF OUR DYMANIC PARTICLE SYSTEMS WILL BEGIN. THEY HAVE A DEFAULT STATE THAT WILL RUN WHILE NOT BEING DRIVEN BY SENSOR DATA. RESI CAN FACILITATE TWO PARTICIPANTS AT A TIME. OUR PROFESSIONALS WILL HELP OUTFIT THE PARTICIPANTS WITH A WERABLE DEVICE AND COMPLETE A QUICK 2-3 MINUTE CALIBRATION PROCESS. then the magic begins…
the particle systems representing the two partiCIPANTS will begin reacting to the incoming data in real-time. ambient music will also begin playing, also driven by the data stream. our meaning-embedded design makes it simple to interpret the state of the partiCIPANTS during their interactions. prompt cards will be available to help guide an interaction, or participants are welcome to engage with eachother in whatever way they feel comfortable. if partiCIPANTS start to coregulate each other, they will be able to see that represented through the design. EXCITEMENT, STRESS, RELAXATION LEVELS, EMOTION, AND COGINITIVE STATES OF PARTICIPANTS CAN ALL BE INTERPRETED THROUGH THE AUDIOVISUAL EXPERIENCE.
